No way in hell should Metallica be higher than Iron Maiden.
1. Metallica were more innovative than maiden. They essentially created a new genre while maiden followed in the same line as preist

2. Metallica are FAR more influential than maiden.

But Iron Maiden influenced Metallica.

so?

Using abc logic in a debate only shows how weak your argument is.

I'm dunno, man. . . I'm just throwin' out iders, here.

Um, how about no? Without Iron Maiden you wouldn't have bands like Metallica, Megadeth, Anthrax, Sepultura, Testament, or Death. Metallica may be more commercial, but as a whole in terms of more innovative and more influential than Maiden? No way.

Anyways, here are some more wicked metal videos.

Read what I said about using abc logic in a debate. Your logic states ugh the caveman who first beat on a rock is more influential than sabbath.

1. FACT. Metallica essentially started a whole new genre of metal. Maiden essentially just followed in preist's footsteps

2. How many people got into metal or picked up an instument because of metallica as opposed to maiden? If you say maiden caused moe people to get into metal or pick up an instrument/form a band then you are truly delusional.

Because some people think it's the popular thing to do.

HELL YEAH!!!!!!

See thats what i've been saying all along.

My friends think Metallica is better than Nine Inch Nails but I don't think so. I think Metallica is overrated.

This is exactly why no one wanted to bump the old metal thread. :(

old metallica was actually pretty good . it was after " the black album " where they went downhill....

One brings a tear to my eye everytime I listen to it.

PIG DESTROYER have completed work on their new full-length album, Phantom Limb. PIG DESTROYER recorded Phantom Limb at Omega Studios (BAD BRAINS) in Rockville, MD under the helm of guitarist/producer Scott Hull and are currently preparing for its June 12th North American release date (June 18th internationally).

Phantom Limb, the follow-up to 2004’s wildly successful and influential Terrifyer, features 14 of “the most deranged metal songs we could come up with” says vocalist JR Hayes. The complete track listing is as follows:

1. Rotten Yellow
2. Jupiter’s Eye
3. Deathtripper
4. Thought Crime Spree
5. Cemetery Road
6. Lesser Animal
7. Phantom Limb
8. Loathsome
9. Heathen Temple
10. Fourth Degree Burns
11. Alexandria
12. Girl In The Slayer Jacket
13. Waist Deep In Ash
14. The Machete Twins

Phantom Limb’s artwork was designed by John Baizley (BARONESS, TORCHE) and previews of it can be seen via the band’s official MySpace page. Hull taunts: “Just wait until you hear it.”

Cannibal is nothing without Chris Barnes. I'd rather watch Six Feet Under.

Kill was a great album

I was disappointed with six feet under's first 4 albums.
13 was an awsome album can't wait for their new album this year

13 is sick. And, yes, Kill was surprisingly good.
