Honestley, the fact we haven't gotten a major trailer or poster 2 months out was a tip-off. I'm more surprised Ghostbusters is staying put.

This movie has finished filming in 2022. Pushing it back a whole year for no apparent reason and putting it in the worst month possible where studios usually dump movies is definitely not the greatest of signs.

That's a bit of an understatement. Has there actually been any movie that was a box office hit and a critical darling, released in January? I honestly can't recall at the moment.

Nothing's certain but the combination of that release date alongside a long delay and an extensive post production window is a bit suspicious. I wouldn't be shocked if the studio moved the film because of bad test screenings, and need the time to do some reshoots in order to "fix" it.

I didn't say that the IMAX scenario is not a possibility just that it does not seem like the biggest one at the moment.

Touche touche. The article going around about WBD's spending says DeLuca and Abdy aren't as pumped about this one in comparison to PTA's latest or the possible acquisition of Tarantino's upcoming, but then it says a WB rep ensures that they're enthusiastic in the next line, so who knows what's going on.

Maybe it's the wide-release date? We shall see.

Idk if I'm inclined to trust Daniel RPK here lol and the only places picking it up are ones like this and World of Reel.

I don't doubt that an exec or two may feel some type of way about a potentially unconventional film that costs $150M, but I don't believe there is some massively hostile dispute over it either.

It’s an easy target and very probable, but he’s not really directly in charge of WB productions. There’s plenty people it could fall on if it’s true that there’s some big dispute.

It could be coming from him tho. I have no clue.
