I don't know how it's gonna end up, but I like your Thor as is!

thanks but it will be a full body image with most of the other movie characters - though costumes won't be 100% Identical of course

shield.jpg
Coming soon "captain America" as second Character of the AvengersHere's a rough draft of his shield so far though it may change Will be based upon the Movie cap

sounds good, the shield looks sweet, you going mask on or mask off?. :)

The final image should use the tiny shield shadowing

I created the image of the shield using real metal that metal can be seen here - > http://stocktextures.net/textures/metal-brushed-specular-3.jpg
and applying liberal shadowing / distorting it a bit
I figured it was a good touch to get that buffed metal look
Thors hammer is made from a different piece of metal
Thors helmet is made from the same metal image

It's a unique artform style I used to do I just never did it in this detail

thors torso costume is actual pieces of black leather with slight shadowing applied
If interested I'll try to explain the process - 1 - I make a solid section Let's say the RED outer rim 2 - I find a image That seems right on google 3 - I use photoshop distortions either to make it smaller to fit, or larger, or to turn it
3 - paste it in area till it looks right 4 - apply shadows - hightones - lowtones when necessary - and 5 - repeat each section til don - 6 - repeat til done apply blurring, sharpening - fix areas - you get images like shield

It can take time sometimes tho

When I update captain America it should be here -> http://s516.photobucket.com/albums/u322/grafffik/RandomArt/?action=view&current=cap.jpg
(a sample there now)

It'll be rogh as it goes - this is a starter template but still working on it Each solid area gets art or collage added to it I actually create my faces like the thor from a similar design to what you see in this cap

Spidey WOULD be on his cell.
Looove your Silver Surfer too.

off topic but I like your name.
I imagine anyone named ~Loston to be kicking galactic ass or something.

IF I use an original art piece and redo it I give credit - Loston made an original Galacts-Silver Surfer I used as a Template for those images - Of course a lot of reconstrction on the image was It was only a standard ink typed page

Loston is aware I did it
The art here is mine the Spiderman was originally created some years ago based upon an amazing spiderman comic I worked in (I forget which to be honest)

Captain America, and Thor is created pieces not based on templates

I
would really go back and work on the form of that Captain America before you start painting. He looks kind of stubby and not very dynamic. The back foot seems kind of off.Strong figure drawing could really make your stuff shine.:yay:
It's not finished back foot was going to me in shadows - I just do bits of it here and there

It's not painting it's created in photoshop - though I guess it may look that in places
A lot of it is photo-collage
It's a work in progress will probably finish it mon-tesday the solid cells are not placed art yet - I actually build these up piece by piece

I dig your style dude. Your collage technique creates a very unique look thats refreshing. Can't wait to see your final avengers piece and what else you create.

By the way - my first comment in 2 years

Interesting
I would like to see you do some foreshortening aiming a hand or weapon or both at viewer to challenge yourself.
RESPONSE - This image has plans on that (The Iron Man)

Also asked "you don't do any form of drawing"

These images are "DRAWINGS" of sorts mostly doing layers of colors - I've dabbled with pencils in past bt better on computer

While yes sometimes I use montage - I still create most of it like faces and stuff

However I want to try to be uniqe about it do it my own way

something similar to what you had in mind - It was already planned - I was going to form a gantlet over the hand and have it shooting - not sure what yet
Sortof similar to your big hand images - thogh I planned that before I seen yours

OF course note solid colors is my templates I create the images over those

Above image is how I created all the following images in lower post - using solid sectionals then applying art individually in case of Iron man I used various images of real metal shadowed and skewed them a bit, and applied some photoshop effects

the final image was altered a bit from this template - but that was the basic design I USED
there is actually 2 finals of this one in The avengers team (which does not blur the gauntlet)
the other loner pic both links below

New Images available look at previous post for photobucket links

Next works - A batman image for upcoming contest (not sure where that's going yet)

Remake of Marvel zombies based upon this image -> http://graffikarts.zoomshare.com/al...2bc19fb038e82b9a896f4417bd_11677500830/:album

Actually going to use some of the image re-tool all the main characters - clean up galactus a bit - put modern effects on all the characters plus better art
this was done many years ago based on similar art to what I recently did

Is this also drawn by someone else, or by you? I'm not talking about the paint over, I'm talking about the actual lines/image.

I am NOT discussing art in any way shape, or form with you son - you blow it out of proportion, twist it, turn it, and do it in such a way we need to bring moderators into it - If anyone else wishes to discuss it I am willing to do so - NOT YOU Only thing I will say was done several years ago It is not recent

Re-work in progress "Marvel Zombies" based upon a comic panel of Marvel Zombies #3 I believe it is Of which I used to have a line-art of

Images are located here of OLD ONES -> http://graffikarts.zoomshare.com/0.shtml/NewWorks

the left one is going to be re-crafted with all main characters re-done with modern art creating new imagry, and smoothing out some of old details

Originally based on A line-art page of this -> (Not this piece) http://www.nocreoqueseasreal.pe/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/blz02-03.jpg

Some of my earlier art is reconstructed in a similar manner
I actually had almost the entire Marvel Zombies 3,4,5 issue #1 in line-art form I only did a reconstruction of this page tho No longer have them due to drive crash some years ago - the new one will be reone based upon earlier work

I will post Updates as I can mostly it's for a future date to complete

I'm your son, now? o_O

I asked you if you drew this piece. It's not a difficult question, nor is it trolling. You've got numerous works here that are paint-overs of other's lines, and I'm curious where these lines came from. There's some writing on this, but it is unintelligible.

I'm sorry if you don't like the question, but that's life on a public forum - people post and ask questions. If you don't want to answer it, that's fine. That's your choice. But I'm allowed to ask it.

I do not "Answer" because you blow things out of propoprtions and cause problems - So much to the point modertors get involved - move along- nothing to see here

How is asking you to give credit blowing things out of proportion. I'm curious if you drew the lines on that Spidey pic because I really like the anatomy on it. BUT, it looks very different from your other works. I'd like to know the artist that drew it, because I'd like to see more of their work.

Seriously, why not just credit the original piece?

I honestly am curious to know where the originals come from.

Dang...

Well I originally found your work very interesting and unique and for that immediately subscribed to your thread. While my view of your art is still the same, your personality I am not a fan of. Jugg's just asking a simple question and you clearly are on some sort of high horse. (not just in this case but when others post about your art in the form of question, comment, or critique.)

The mark of a good artist is someone who is always trying to improve, is accepting to constructive comments, and who has respect for other artists, giving credit where credit is do.

Your style is unique and I always look forward to what you post next. But you seriously need to relax. And more importantly realize you aren't in a superior position.

Thank you for your concern - this person has in past gotten to the point of violating this sites rules involving questions - I sent you a PM with more details, however I did not discuss all the details.
If it was just involving art, I'd have no problems - It's not
I choose not to answer him -
