Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol

ya, the eminem music was kinda corny, especially in a TOM CRUISE MOVIE

MI 2 divides people. I think most like part one or three.
I thought MI2 was ridiculous. Can't stand a second watch.
The first and third were great in my book. I'm not really caring about MI4, think they should've stopped at 3, since it had a nice end, but we'll see.

2 sucked major cahooja. 1 is underrated and 3 is good. If only 1 had a more concentrated and focused plot then it would be the best.

That CIA break in scene is still tense as hell. That was extremely well done.

I love the fact that for each film, there has been one director to put their stamp on it. I prefer it that way.

The "Mission Impossible" franchise isn't really filled with quality. All movies so far aren't really that good. This might be the best yet.

The third one is the only one I like. All of the action set pieces are incredible. It's hard to believe it was JJ's first feature film.

-I prefer the MI theme during most of the trailer,But I like the song and I think it fits perfect(especially the lyrics),I think the reason most people hate it is the fact that Eminem&that chick sings it(Which I think it's BS to hate a trailer song and especially cause of the singers)!!!

-I'm one of the few MI2 fans that think it's underrated,But I sure prefer 3&1!!

Mission Impossible-Ghost Protocol trailer debuts on Entertainment Tonight (CBS) tomorrow 28/06/11 7.30pm ET/7pm PT Tune in, get blown away.

I think M:I is still cool, though sligthly dated now....and very "strong studio influence feeling".[Before the "more realistic" Bourne stuff appeared] Lots of iconic scenes/set pieces though.More so than the rest ! Didn't like the "rat scene",it didn't need that !!!! And a certain Mr. Leon coulda looked a tad more "concerned" & not bored piloting a helicopter inside a fricken tunnel with trains whizzing by!.Danny Elfman's best stuff.

M:I-2 was.....different.A little too much Ethan Hunt & nowhere near enough M:I Team.Ving was demoted so much, down to silly comments about clothing and I half expected him to start shouting "Riggs,Riggs,Riggs" because it reminded me of Danny Glover's Murtaugh."MetallicA in the soundtrack !!! Zimmer's guitar stuff. And cool to see motorbikes used in action scenes...

M:I-III was....almost a perfect balance, though the vatican "bomb" [no international outcry !!!?] and prolonged Ethan Death-scene ruined it for me....[well i did have a group of kids in front of me giggling [at breasts] & squeaking their chairs in time to "Julia's CPR" !!!!]Movie had good team work stuff.

M:I-GP .....was a little un-enthused when i saw yet another "tall building" set piece ![Even tallest building in the World] But, dug the new title, instead of "4" and the cast looks the best yet. When I saw Prague pics, I wondered if they'd tie in with the 1st movie somehow.Same guy doing the score from the 3rd....and this trailer, despite enima's sing song,!.[Like Pink's bit more than his] looks like an early Christmas present ! 5 and a half months to wait....can't wait !! oh ! and those fight scenes look full contact.Impressed.

I always go see superhero films and spy films on principle

Agreed, 2 was such a bad movie it made me almost not see the third one. It was like they just filmed a bunch of action sequences that they couldn't find a place for in the first film and strung them together. The plot was just your typical "Ohhh we created a virus that can wipe out the whole world" bullsh** along with a really lame love story. And they did the face-pull trick WAY too many times.

I think, all in all, the third one was the tightest of the three films. The whole "anti-god" weapon was a little lame and Cruise's relationship with Monaghan was a little underdone, but overall I thought it got the best mix of intrigue, suspense and action.

I saw Transformers 3 in IMAX last night and the first trailer was for Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol. The best thing about it was that the final scene in the trailer expands to fit the giant screen and really shows off not only the size and scope but the superior picture resolution of the IMAX photography. It really is the most beautiful picture and I'm hoping that more and more films use the camera.

Yeah. After the titles it said "Filmed in IMAX"

OH. Well this is brand new amazing information to me. :awesome:

I am guessing the trailer is going online tonight. The Tom Cruise site says theres a surprise at 8 EST

In the trailer we see Jeremy Renner character get the best of Ethan in their little shuffle, is it true his also taking over this franchise as well as the Bourne franchise?

I doubt he could do both. He had an idea he might take over the Mission Impossible franchise so i'm not sure why he took Bourne. Unless he wanted something more certain. Bourne is happening, Mission Impossible 5 might not.

he is only taking over M:I if Ethan dies. if he is not then can come back

I have my doubts about Josh Holloway's abilities to carry a movie franchise. I found his performance to be very hit-and-miss on Lost.

No.

Fixed.

And Holloway was always on point on LOST, but I think I'd rather see him on television than as a lead in this franchise.

I appreciate that, excuse my incompetence with the youtube
