I think that character select pic isn't the greatest, however if that picture is of him (above the dragon) then I don't mind it. He kinda looks like Rikimaru from Tenchu... which is cool, IMHO.

^Just give him long hair and that looks like the studio pic, lol.

the smoke pic from that guys screen looks like his hair is long and down kinda like sephiroth, but the select screen pic is an old school magus fro, would much prefer the long sephiroth hair over the fro

I wanted his Shaolin Monks look... I thought that was perfect. However... people in the past cried that MK had WAY to many ninjas. Well, guess they can't really do that now...

As for Smoke's human look:
Maybe his hair is actually behaving like smoke? Imagine the awesomeness of that in motion. I've seen ****** still pics of awesome looking characters. I'm waiting to see the full design before I comment.

Yeah I wanted something like that. Not exactly the same, since it would be too similar to Noob, but that was a cool concept.

And isn't he from Lin Kuei too? Wouldn't he have traits similar to Sub-Zero's?

As more of an SF/Tekken guy, I must say I'm a lot more excited for this game than MvC3. The modes, the aim to make this a tourney level fighter, and [BLACKOUT]the lack of BS "justifications" for excluding certain characters[/BLACKOUT], makes me very happy.
