I just want to say that this is absolutely awesome. I've been struggling to top 2,500 posts here and she sent

14,528 text messages in the entire month of December

That is a feat. Also a sad testament to her actual social life.

we went over my bill here last month. I sent 600 texts in the month of December, or about twenty a day. To me that's quite a bit. My brother, on the other hand, sent 8,700! I mean at that point wouldn't it be easier to call?

Between the sending and receiving of texts per month, I average about 220. I am not big on texting at all.

Also, this girl really isn't all that popular the texts she made were to a small group of her friends.

I spend $5 on my bill for about 100 texts or maybe more for a month an I never come close to passing that. I just cant see myself commenting on every damn thing going around me to that many people on my phone. I hate when I have to say this since I'm only 20 but damn kids these days!

I think I would've avoided the problem altogther by not giving my 13 year old a freaking cellphone.

You sound like an old man. Most of the technology we use isn't "needed", for any age range. But we use it anyway...because we can, and because it's the norm nowadays.

I'm sure there are teenagers who have an iPhone. But for a 13 year old girl, I think one of those pre-paid cellphones are adequate.

Psssshhhh...my sister rolled in 15,000 text messages one month and my little cousin had 20,000 one month...they are on their phones 24/7. You should have seen the paper bill that lists the messages...it was a freaking book.
