Move To Canada, You Americans!

Ridiculous amount of hot chicks in Canada

In terms of actresses/celebrities, hell yeah. And they all seem to have better personalities than these hollywood chicks.

 I'll meet you at the border!

Here's another reason to head up north: In most provinces, the legal drinking age is 18 or 19.

Cheers, suckers!!!:word:

I've been legal for four years now, so to hells with that!

Well I've had more legal drinking experience than you, so nuts to you!

Wait...gonna hafta rethink that.

Canada's got a lot of nice points to it: universal health care, low crime rates (from what I hear), moose. But it has one big deal-breaker: Canadians.

...which is going to end up bankrupting them. :o

And who are they going to come calling on to bail them out?

I think our system's alright...supposedly taxes are higher, but if you've lived paying that much your whole life, you get accustomed to it and the social benefits that come from it.

When you only have to worry about paying for the luxuries and room you stay in at a hospital if you're in a coma or something, 13% tax on everything is fine by me. :o

But, what kind of medical care would I be getting? I don't really care about the luxuries...

I have friends from Vancouver, and their doctors are all in Seattle.....they don't like the medical care they get in their hometown.

lol, there's exceptions everywhere and flaws in every system, I'm just content with the way things are. When I was banged up I got stitched up and got meds no problemo, no bill, seXxXXy.

Seconded.

If your friends can afford to pay for privatized health care, good for them, but the idea of universal health care is that anyone, regardless of class, can have access to good healthcare. Unfortunately because of the increased privatization of healthcare across Canada, plus the diversion of tax dollars to other fields, the system is not as comprehensive as it once was.

However, our system is still good. My biggest complaint is that it doesn't cover pharamacueticals, which are so pricey. A lot of people also complain about wait times, but people also don't seem to have any concept of triage in a hospital/urgent care centre.

Now all we need is cheaper/free post-secondary education

That's awesome......
