Since it's just early enough to start a thread like this, Happy New Year! These are some of the movies from 2000 turning 20 this year and now I feel old! :grrr:

I remember seeing a good chunk of those in theaters, specifically X-Men because I was just so excited to get a decent superhero movie that looked cool as a 12 year old. Little did I know what that genre would evolve into over the next two decades.

Gladiator is one I didn't see in the theater but I wish I had. That one's always worth a rewatch.

Speaking of repeat viewings, Jim Carrey's Grinch is always a guilty pleasure of mine around the holidays.

I was 12 in 2000 and Coyote Ugly was my jam. So embarrassing. :funny:
 
I find it kind of ironic Gladiator is turning 20 and might bookend the decade with Joaquin Phoenix Oscar nominations for villains.
 
As soon as my eyes read “X-Men” my soul left my body.
