Got the idea from the latest cover of Empire magazine (never read it) but it makes for a good question, now that we are 20 years deep in to this century what 100 films would you pick that stand out to you as the very best or your absolute favourites so far. (Doesn't need to be any specific order as I imagine that would make a list like take days or even weeks to finish.)

By the way, when putting together this list I noticed I have yet to see so many 21st century movies. There are other I HAVE seen and probably would be a good fit, but that I would have to rewatch to make a SINCERE assessment.

P.S.: To all "Lord of the Rings" fans out there. I know it's one of the best and most influential trilogies out there, and masterful filmmaking (especially the first one, IMO), I just don't share the same enthusiasm for it. Simply a matter of taste.
