Think of actors or directors you haven't seen in a while or really bad movies. Did they kill anyone's career or come close to killing anyone's career?

After watching The King of Fighters, that film could kill Sean Faris, Maggie Q, and Ray Park's careers

wow, Ray Park? He's mostly a stunt man with cool roles.

I believe it was B&R that killed Alicia Silverstone's career.

Catwoman could have jacked up Halle Berry's career easily

Year One may have killed Harold Ramis' directing career.

It's amazing Jack Black and Michael Cera came out unscathed.

It's likely going to be a long, long time before Jimmy Hayward directs live action with any kind of budget again after Jonah Hex.

Peeping Tom pretty much killed Michael Powell's career. And scared Hitchcock in regards to how Psycho was screened for critics.

I dunno. I didn't like the movie but I didn't think it was anywhere near as bad as people made it out to be. I don't really think it really damaged Ramis, Black, or Cera's careers too much.

sean connery - league of Extraordinary gentlemen

killed his career so bad he had too retired

Most actors who starred in Friday The 13th movies back in the 1980s never worked again. There were a few rare exceptions that actually went on to have film careers afterwards (Kevin Bacon, Corey Feldman, Crispin Glover, Kelly Hu, and Miguel Nunez Jr come immediately to mind). Other than that, all other actors filmographies pretty much begin and end with Friday The 13th.

Pootie Tang. Chris Rock.

Jack Black's career could be killed soon, if Gulliver's Travels tanks like I'm suspecting it too.

I haven't seen Feldman in a while. that **** D-T-V sequel to lost boys doesn't count :o

Although she has made a few films the past couple of yearsm, I think it was Gigli that brought Lopez's career down quite a few notches.

If his career wasn't dead after Year One (though it reallllly should've been), I dont think anything can kill it.

I imagine Legend of Chun Li did little for Kristin Kreuk. And I think it murdered Chris Klein.

I think Post Grad killed Alexis Bledel's shot at leading another major feature film unless it's a horror feature (she's doing a Sleepaway Camp film).

I think The Return destroyed Sarah Michelle Gellar's career. Everything after that, beside TMNT, was either limited release or straight-to-video.

The Quiet (a film I liked) and Captivity put a hamper on Elisha Cuthbert's feature film career.

And Arnold Schwarzenegger's - though some may argue that with a generation shift looming that he was probably already on his way out anyway.

Myra Breckinridge didn't do Raquel Welch any favors, nor did it do any favors for its screwball director Michael Sarne. Or should we leave out older movies that killed/hurt the careers of those involved and focus on more recent failures?

More than amazing it's simply tragic.

I have seen the poster. It looks like nothing can save it from doom. One can dream.

You've got a point. How to kill something that should have never been born?
