Well Kind atleast in the 1st part. I mean when the Detective chanced Charles lee Ray into that Department Store He did say that he was going to kill him and his partner for leaving him.

Also I want to say the Orginal Batman Joker was motivated by Revenge because Batman threw him into the Chemicals that made him pretty much the Joker.

wasnt he motivated by the money? they thought it was revenge but it was just for the money... thats what all the die hard villains share, they mislead people into thinking what they're doing is for a cause but its just about money.
