My dad has TERRIBLE toothache.He's in serious pain right now, what should I do?

My mom just went to get some penicillin but he's alot of pain. we called our dentist for an emergency call but they were the ones who perscribed us to get the penicillen. Any Ideas.

YOu can also take an aspirin and put it directly on the tooth. it will dissolve and numb it.

It tastes like crap, and if you do it for a week it will cause some slight eroding of the tooth, but overnight or for the weekend it should be ok

Take an ice cube and rub it on the webbing between your thumb and index finger. Nubbing it. It'll decrease the pain by about 50% and its pretty economical... I however don't like to pass up situations where I'm legally allowed to buy morphine.

You may consider purchasing what is called Anbesol. This will provide temporary relief until you are able to take him to the dentist, which should be done promptly. You may purchase this at a Wal-Mart, Meijer, or local pharmaceutical establishment.
