I went to bed last night with Kevin Rudd as Australian Prime Minister. I woke up and there's a new one! Julia Gillard is our new Prime Minister.

"Coup" is way too strong a word for this. It's stupid it's happened so often for you guys lately, but it's well within the system, how this is supposed to operate. You elect your local members and a winning party, they determine their leader internally with a vote. That can happen ay anytime if they lose confidence in who's currently in.

This isn't some biggie, beyond the frequency of it being irritating. They're doing what they're supposed to.

You’re not 100% wrong. It’s a shame really. There are good people here. Even though the postal vote on marriage equality was despicable we did see some good people. But the most powerful people in our society are also the most cruel and least accountable.
