I can't for the life of me remember this Natvie American who wore I think it was a Black Buffalo head on his head and where he appeared.
It wasn't Red Wolf or any of the Proudstar family, anyone remember who I'm talking about?

mmm no, I think he showed up in Marvel two in one. It wasn't FF's Wyat Wingfoot either.

Are you sure you're not confusing him with a DC character?

Nope One of the Characters I was thinking of is American Eagle from Two-In-one annual 6, but, I could swear there was one with a Black Buffalo headdress and the beads on his cheast like Redwolf.

can't place him sorry

I vaguely recall a character called Black Bison but I don't recall which company he was from. He was a villain though.

thats true i remembered it while eating breakfast but it wasalready posted when i go to this thread

I was just reading a new Native American hero...though it's DC and in the pages of the weekly series 52. The elusive, bombastic SUPER CHIEF!!! :wow:

And, no, I'm not kidding.

i've heard of reviving old heroes but this?

They really need to give him a new name.

Another character that comes to mind is Bison.

I don't know. Super Chief seems kind of worse to me. :o

Why do minorities in comics always seem to turn out so stereotypical?

Because the stereotype is usually always right? :oldrazz:

Seriously, it mostly has to do with some writers out there not either KNOWING that certain race of person or not properly being exposed to the culture other than reading about it in a book or on the Internet.

Experience trumps all. :o

It's just, looking at this list. They're all feather wearing, headband, skirt, all decked out in 1800s century indian clothes. Or all have some kind of mystic beliefs and totems, or some mystic grand parent. It's silly, I know alot of native americans and they aren't like that. Though, I know alot that are gigantic alchohalics but still...

DC's Super Chief wears a Buffalo thing on his head.

No, it was Black-Bison, because Bat-Man, Firestorm (1st series) and Swamp-thing were the only DC books I collected back in the 80's, and I thought that Black-Bison looked like Red-Wolf in a way.
I know of many Bison type character, just couldn't remember where it was I saw THIS one.

lol yeah I agree, he's just a bit dated with that name.

I know there was that native guy from the FF but the only guy I can think of with an animal on his head is Razorback...
