NBC eyes "Dracula" series

Which sucks (pun no intended) because it was a good vampire show. I wonder if it would've done better if it had been on a cable channel, like Starz?

Just caught up with this show. I think it's improved since the pilot. I'm grown tired of Vampire Diaries and The Originals hasn't fully grabbed me. I think Dracula will be my vampire fix.

I'm liking Lady Jane, one very cool vampire hunter. I also like this show's take on Renfield. And the team up is an interesting twist.

I love the Originals but I'll sure check this show out. I didn't know it existed.

So I watched the entire series last Monday.

I remember watching the trailer and thinking how awful it looked and while it certainly had its problems, I felt it was a solid enough show with some interesting things going on.

The only comment I would make is that while there was nothing wrong with Meyer's acting, his Dracula didn't quite resonate with me. He was certainly an interesting character, I just never felt like he nailed it or thought "that's Dracula right there."

On the plus side I thought Victoria Smurfit and Katie McGrath were very strong in their roles. The show looked amazing as well. The story was always interesting as well.

It's a show that certainly deserved better and a second season. Between this and Hannibal I don't think I'll be rushing to watch another show from NBC.
