I initially thought Evan's death triggered Dan's traveling somehow, but that doesn't seem to make sense with Langley's assertion that there were a bunch of people who do it. If a bunch of people can be traveling simultaneously, why would Evan need to die for Dan to be activated?

Regarding the time thing, it may just be something as simple as Langley giving an estimate. I doubt he's aware of the very first time Dan jumped, and he might've just thrown a broad number out there. People do it all the time.

Maybe there's only a set number of people doing the work and as soon as one dies or is incapable, one of the other "candidates" takes over their work. And maybe there's a set number to try and limit the amount of attention they (they being whoever is pulling the strings) get for whatever they're doing.

It was the little kid, who turns out to be a doctor that saves lives in the present at an accident scene. Wouldn't it be interesting if somehow, Evan turns out to be alive, saved at the hospital by the same doctor?

Now that would be cool. I wish Evan had more answers for Dan, i would have liked to know more about what was in Evan diary and bag.

And i'm glad Dan didn't tell Langly about Livia. Langley thinks Dan is the last.......

...and, that last shot of Katie eyes was ssssooooo iconic.

You can go to NBC.com and watch streaming episodes. I am going to check if the pilot is still on there. I want to rewatch the first scene again and see if you can see Future Dan, Livia, or the ambulance as present Dan gets in the cab.

Weird note. When I got home last night and watched the episode on the dvr, I clicked "Do not Delete" so My wife could watch it, yet at the last second the cursor jumped back to "Delete." I will just have to tell her to watch online, but it was still weird.

I thought the conversation between Dan and Dr. Langley took care of that, but have missed a few eps so may not know about other examples.

That was a great finale(hopefully not series). Bittersweet ending for that other leaper. So if Livia dies, will someone else take over? Something must be stopping new leapers from being made.

Another thought. If anyone from Sci-Fi, or any other channel, is reading these boards, when we say "pick it up," we mean make NEW episodes, not pull a "John Doe" and keep reairing the 13 original eps, thereby making us relive the frustration we are feeling now over and over. Thank you.

If anyone else wants to, I went to Amazon and signed up to be notified when/if DVD's become availible and also voted for it on TV shows on DVD.com. Who knows? Family Guy was brought back due to DVD sales. I know it's a longshot, but WTH?

That poll started back in September. I wonder how much that number would change if started now. Was it posted on a main page, or did you have to dig back for it?

You guys notice that Livia jumped as soon as old Dan jumped on his first mission, but left the Dan she was presently with standing there...? She usually jumps with present Dan (most of the time) . I can't remember when exactly Dan first meets up with Livia after his first jump, but is it possible that when Livia jumped after Evan died, she jumped not back to her own year, but to aid Dan on his first jump, again..only with a little more knowledge because she's done it before...? It's confusing i know, and i don't think i've explained my theory right, but is it possible she's jumping in a big circle.; from Evans death, back to Dan's first jump, around to Evans death, etc ....and everything inbetween what Dan has presently done. In other words she continually goes in a circle....

Yeah, he goes to the Apt., sees "Alive" Livia, goes in the hall, and is called down the stairs by "Dead" Livia as present Dan comes home.

can't wait for the dvd. There's so many possibilities/ scenarios, the writers could come up with for this show....

.......like if Livia jumps right as she's about to get married (at the alter) and ends up stuck in the present, again. And has to tip-toe around, change her name, etc cause she's sopposed to be dead......

..or if Dan gets stuck somewhere for a long time, and when he jumps back, Katie has moved on, dies,ect..and he goes back and tries to correct things....so many possibilities.
