NBC's 'JOURNEYMAN' starring Kevin Mckidd

That was from one of the earlier episodes. I remember it well because it made me wonder if it was a little in-joke nod to McKidd's time as Lucius Vorenus on Rome.

Hmmm...

This show is SLOOOOWLY growing on me. I like the premise, but I don't like the... tone, perhaps of the show... but they seem to be taking the Premise, which, at first glance, feels like a Quantum Leap rehash, as far as it can possibly go, which, it turns out, is pretty far.

Man I sure hope this show gets picked up.NBC don't mess with Monday!

What's wrong with the tone?

I said it before and i'll say it again, this show is fantastic!! I also pray this show makes it, but i'm not hopeful, seems the dumbing down of television will kill this show, it's to smart or plain just makes you think, and that isn't good for tv. But I will continue to pray for this show not to be cancelled.

I've made my peace with the looming certainty that Journeyman will be canned. It's a shame, but it'll just go down in the hallowed halls of great one-season shows that should've gone longer. There are many of them, and there will be many more. :(

Any numbers in, did the show drop any from last week?

At 10 p.m., "CSI: Miami" (10.2/17) easily won the hour for CBS. "October Road," 4.4/7, finished second in households for ABC, but NBC's "Journeyman," 3.8/6, grabbed a few more viewers.

It's been pretty consistent in it's ratings. Like i said before, it's the same ppl that have been watching it from the beginning that are sticking with it.....

Thanks Golgo, let's hope the network pays attention.

Jesus, I hate networks. If Journeyman were getting those ratings on a cable channel, it'd go on for ten seasons.

Ugh... I don't know. I've thought about it since I posted and I really can't figure out what puts me off to this show. All I know is it's slowly beginning to not matter as much.

I think it's something about Dan that's off putting to me... maybe he beat me up as a kid to prevent me from shooting someone in the present... or something possible. Not sure...

Someone on another website described Journeyman as a show that could've been good if the star weren't "fighting his accent" all the time. I thought Kevin McKidd faked a pretty impressive American accent...

I'd sooner apply that idea to Bionic Woman than Journeyman. After the episode where she gets to use her British accent, everyone was saying that it'd be a lot better if her character actually was British.

I don't seem to have much of an ear for that sort of thing. The only time accents sound weird to me is if they're really bad, like Jamie Bambers' was in the first season or two of Battlestar Galactica.

Can we start some sort of pre-emptive strike on-line petition for this great show?

Heh, we should send counterfeit hundred dollar bills with a Post-It attached that says "From Dylan McLean." :D

I think the most you can hope for is that they finish this season. The writers on the show should prepare a finale with some closure. Ratings are up for the show but they're still not good.

I wonder what makes NBC determine to cancel the show rather than shift it over to USA or Sci Fi, where the rating demands aren't nearly as high...

If this was on Fox it would have been axed already, but K-Ville isn't exactly doing too well either. The writers strike is making these networks more tolerant of low ratings, and cancelling shows, cause at this point they have limited things they can air. Which makes me fear for the 'Sarah Conner Chronicles'...

Everything's worse at Fox. I bet Journeyman wouldn't have even made it through six episodes on Neocon TV--er, I mean Fox.

Hey guys, Looks like there's a site www.savejourneyman.net where people are trying to get organized. Looks like so far bottles of asprin are beating out the ketchup sandwiches for the mail away, but at least it's something.

Guys! I just checked NBC's website, and Journeyman has been nomimated for a people's choice award for best new drama. Go. Vote. Now! This show needs to win. Even if it's just to show what A__es NBC's brass are if they do cancel it. www.pcavote.com

Edit- OK, upon further inspection, it looks as though every new drama is eligible for this award, however, I still stand by my Go. Vote. Now! statement as this would really tell the bigwigs we want this show back for the rest of this season and next. Also, it looks like you can vote once every day until voting closes, so Go!
