There are a tremendous amount of websites where you can seek advice on how to do customs.

I can help you out though, but you have to say what exactly is on your mind as far as what you want to do or make. just a simple repaint of an existing character? a new character? A character from TDK, or begins? or from any of the past movies?

just whatever is easiest, and cheap, i want to do something simple for now. :)

Well theres countless amounts of simple customs you could do, but you have to make some kind of decision yourself here.. lol do you want a movie masters custom? comic book batman universe? An uppgraded batman or whoever? a repaint?

Ya have to Slim it down some. then we can give you suggestions and help. ya cant just say "gimmie suggestions on cheap simple customs" because there are millions of possibilities. Whats easy to one person may not be easy to you, so you might get some bad advice, ya know what i mean.

Ha, see.. as far as I knew.. you wanted a movie masters custom.. you have to be ALOT more specific... and i have no idea what the basic line is. The Dark Knight 5 inch figures? i guess u can find those around 6 bucks sure. But most likely where ever you find those, youll probably find Movie Masters warming the pegs. At least where Ive looked.

Okay well that's pretty cool. you got your purple, green and other colors needed?

Normally when repainting a figure you want to put down a base coat first especially when putting a lighter color on a darker color.

The best advice anybody could give you would just be to keep trying and practice. your first attempt might not be terrific. If you want, take some scrap plastic, or some really old figures you don't use anymore for anything and test out the paint and your painting abilities to get the basic idea of where you stand with painting skills.

and now its, c.r.a.p i think im either gonna make it into a whole nother character, or start all over, it was looking great, but now its blugh

Yup, thats exactly what happens on your first attempts. and it probably will cost alot more. if youd like to get better, ya just have to practice like mad for years. find your comfort level with it, and find out what your struggling with exactly. Most importantly you have to have to have extreme patience! you cant just slap on paint and expect it to be any good. Go about it with care and understanding
word:

If you completely mess up.. then what you want to do is get some 90% alcohal or acetone, that will rip the acrylic paint that you just put down right off. Like an eraser. And try priming it a bit, with a good base coat of light grey or white. You can either do it with a brush and very water dulluted paint (multiple coats) or with spray paint. Spray paint is dangerous sometimes because you have to get the right kind of brand and be weary of what plastic you use it on. Spray paint is great for hard plastic, but not so much for soft.

do you have to do a base? cant u just paint parts of it? i think its gonna look goood, I'll try to upload some pic 2night:)

Its better to to a base coat(primer) usually when having to put lighter colors over darker colors.. even the slightest in tones. but im glad its going good for ya

:) btw have you seen the guy who painted one of the jokers in flesh color? it looks just like heath!
