Recently, after I returned a disc from Netflix, I received an email saying that they had received my disc, but it was my own disc and not the movie they sent me. They asked that I returned their disc back, and soon after I did receive a Netflix envelope containing what they said was my disc, but that bland DVD does not belong to me. I'm always very careful when it comes to returning discs back to Netflix, and unfortunately this is not the first time Netflix had made this claim against me. Since I couldn't find any way to dispute it, I ended up marking the disc as lost in the mail, and they are sending me another disc to replace it. I'm kind of fed up by Netflix's mistakes and contemplating cancelling my subscription. Does anyone else had this similiar problem with Netflix?

been with netflix for probably like 7 or 8 years. never had a problem anything like this.

I've had Netflix for a long time also, but this is the second time it happened. I just don't understand how they could have gotten a wrong disc from me that doesn't even belong to me.

I would call Customer Support. If this has happened twice, you have to wonder if someone is stealing the movies and replacing them with the blanks. A neighbor maybe?

Do you drop the movies off directly to the post office or just in your mailbox? Just something to keep an eye on.

I actually gave the Netflix envelopes to my wife, who has mailman picking up their office mails daily, so it can save me a trip to the mailbox. I have considered the possibility of someone stealing my Netflix DVD and replacing them with blank ones, and although I dismissed it as a crazy notion, after the second time that it happened I'm now ready to accept more outrageous possibility. Maybe I'll start taking a trip to mailbox from now on.

Unfortunately, it has been happening for a while. I have not read abot someone replacing them with blanks, but it would be a logical step. Can't trust anyone anymore.

Thanks for the links. I'm now pretty convinced that someone must be stealing my Netflix DVD and replacing them with blanks before sending them to Netflix. I'm going to stop giving them to my wife and just drop them off at a local mailbox near my workplace from now on.

What you should do is get a movie from them, keep it, and say that you never got it in the mail. That'll show'em!

You should coordinate an elaborate sting operation to catch this thieving bastard. I had no idea people were doing this, I'm glad I always dropped mine off in a box.

My theory on why my Netflix DVDs were replaced with blanks instead of the thief just keep the DVDs outright is because by sending back a blank, Netflix would think that I was the one who did it. If the DVD disappears, then Netflix would be more inclined to believe that someone else (or me) was the one who kept the DVD but not returning it. Anyway, that's my two cents on this matter.

Well, Netflix was sending me two DVD and they were supposed to arrive at 11/4, but now it's 11/9 and the DVDs are still missing. Between this and that previous incident, I'm thinking about cancelling my subscription again.
