New Alone in the Dark and Haunted House Games In Development from Atari

Atari is bringing back two of its scariest franchises: Alone in the Dark and Haunted House. Both of the franchises helped pioneer the survival horror genre. The first Haunted House game came out in 1982 for the Atari 2600, and there was a remakefor the PC in 2010 followed by a recent iOS side-scroller. The first Alone in the Dark was released in 1992, and the last one came out in 2008 for the 360 and PS3. The new Alone in the Dark game will be called Alone in the Dark: Illumination, but that’s all Atari has said for now. More details on both projects will be announced at the Penny Arcade Expo next week.
