'New Amsterdam' Picked Up for Full Season on NBC

NBC has picked up nine additional episodes of its first-year drama New Amsterdam, making it the first new series of the fall to get a full-season order.


The back-nine order comes three episodes into the show's season, where it's put up solid ratings so far. It's averaging a 1.6 rating among adults 18-49 — the second-highest among any new series thus far this season, behind only fellow NBC drama Manifest — and about 7.6 million viewers in Nielsen's live plus same-day numbers.
