A new audio interview to composer Michael Wandmacher hits the web. In the interview Wandmacher reveals he's a Punisher fan since his first appareance in "Amazing Spider-Man" n°129 (!!!) and that movie is more fidelity to the original source from tone, violence, and dark atmosphere. He revelead that his score is present on 65 minutes on 90' of lenght. Also it's possible hear extract from the score through the long interview.

Enjoy it!

Music's pretty good. I like what he had to say. He really sounds like he knows what to do with the music for this character and this movie

And just for those who DON'T want to listen... main points!

-He came late into the project
-Worked on the score for 4 weeks
-Big time Punisher fan (and he had the quick comic book references to back it up, was really stoked about Nick Fury, he's not playin' us)
-It seemed like he was a bit on the outside during the post-production, and almost sounded a bit miffed about that.
-Worked hard to give Frank Castle his own section of the theme that would stick with fans
-Churned out approximately 60+ minutes (as Devil said) of score, which WILL BE MIXED IN WITH MUSIC FROM THE SOUNDTRACK in the movie. So there will be metal sounds playing in the background, it's just that there will be a lot of score too. Sounds good to me.
-Thinks the movie will be better than the last one, and is more true to the comics.
-Doesn't know if there are any sequel talks, as he wasn't 'in' on all the post-production stuff.

Good interview, it's good to hear he was a long time Punisher fan.

So the music playing in both the opening and outro to the interview, is that from the Punisher score?

Music sounds good but I never like it when movies use real songs in them (especially hard core screamo metal). Unless it's a song that's actually playing in the background.

I think Spider-Man 2 did okay. It had like 2 songs that played in the movie that I can remember (Hold On by Jet and Raindrops Keep Fallin') and I didn't mind that. Hopefully it's not abundant through the film.
