New Pic of the FF!

^ Just pointing it out. LOL
The people on this place wil lnever be 100% happy ever. There will always be something for them to complain about. Thats just how comic fans are. They expect it to look exactly just like in the comics onto the big screen.

Even if something would look goofy they said they don't care atleast it would be true to the comic.

The pic looks cool, they look better. I misread it at first and thought it said the first pic of Silver Surfer, but still a cool photo. Can't wait to see SS. :yay:

Things can still stay true to the comic but updated to today's time and today's generation. Would fans be happier if they translated the first few books of the FF into a 150 million dollar film frame for frame word for word exact. And then watch it flop and make 5 million total (from drooling fans dressedup at DOOM) at the box office after 2 months and then never see another FF film again? LOL And then watch as studios become weary of making comic book films because they don't make money. Ha ha that's exactly what would happen if studios listened to the fans and not what the average moviegoer wants to see. The average moviegoer who knows of these characters but could care less about some of the details like hair color, brow dimensions, or wheter Doom is some maniacal tryant in a castle or a blacklisted fallen corporate raider. etc...The heart is still there, the characters are being presented as best they can at this time...people should be happy.

Yeah i think they would. I remember having a conversation ith someone who said it should have took place in the 60's and be exactly how the first comics were. They didn't care how much money it made atleast it would have been true to form.

Comic fanboy nerds i tell ya. Good thing there not running things in hollywood. Or Thing would be a 15 ft CGI monster. and would look like the hulk except he was orange.

...I hope that's just a bad pic for the Thing. He doesn't look as big as he did in the first one...And he has a neck now...Not a fan of that.

Hoping it's just the angle or somthing. I miss those huge, pyramid shoulders.

Ah gezz. That was the whole idea. Make the suit lighter, so Chilkis could move around in it. Make it less bulky. The other was way to big. Can't please everyone I guess. :whatever:

Come on fellas's let's try to keep it clean around here. Before i get the hose after you Carp.

Your just upset because someone noticed it before you. :oldrazz:

The Thing looks slimmer in this picture which is good cos it makes his arms look bigger. The fact that chiklis is a bit shorter than 6ft doesn't bother me, he rocks at playing ben grimm and still looks huge in a stocky way.

No not really. I'll just trying to instill some respect around here.
And you're just the person to instill respect.

God you can't please everyone. There were more complaints about the original Thing costume and now people are *****ing about the much improved new costume. Unreal.
That was barely an insult.

Well someone asked a question, and in my quest, to answer questions, I was moraly obligated to supply an answer. ( I did not see it ).

Ben Grimm in Kirby's original drawing was 5' 9". So Chilkis is the perfect hight, in keeping with the original intent. The Thing looks awsome.

I am having trouble looking at the picture without hearing that Kill Bill song in my head now lol The one where Lucy Lui walks down the hallway with her gang.

Oh man what tidbit, its good to see ben after his absense from the fantasti-car pic. I thought maybe he was left out because they were keeping his new look a secret. even though I would love to see more stuff , I think they shouldn't show too much, so that we can be blown away when the movie hits. I think last time they pretty much showed the entire movie before it even came out, which took some of the excitement out of it for me.

this movie is going to be...

OFF THE HOOK!

I didn't know the thing was originally 5'9 in the comics, thats cool so chiklis is the right height. People kept saying he wasn't tall enough.

How come in this picture, the thing has been made to look taller?

*comes in dragging a fireman's hose*

Someone needs a hosing down? Oh, Carp Man again, huh? Very well.

*proceeds to hose down Carp Man*

Mabey due to the slimer, lighter suit, he can stand up straighter ? That 1st suit weighed 60 to 70 pounds, so that may explain why he seams taller ? Yep that was Ben Grimms hight in the original 1st comic. Lot of people want the 7 foot Thing you see in the Ultimate comic, but that's not in keeping with the original.
