New: Starter Wife on USA

I hadn't heard of this at all until a friend recommended it to me because she was excited about it returning, so I went and watched the episodes of the miniseries on USA's site. I kinda fell in love with Debra Messing's friends on it (kind of in a WIll & Grace way), so the fact that both Chris Diamantopoulos and Judy Davis are returning for the show in Oct. is AWESOME.

Anyone else here seen it/thinking of watching in the fall?

I dunno man, Debra Messings pretty hot, IMO.

However, the show looks like complete s***.

As much as I hate to admit it, I kind of liked the miniseries. I didn't watch it when it aired but I caught it on Hulu. I only watched it because Joe Mantegna was in it, who is one of my favorite actors, but it actually turned out to be pretty good. Don't know if I'll watch the series though.

Yeah, I felt the same. I didn't think it looked great, and I was uncertain about Debra Messing's ability to star in a show (without her W&G costars) but I finally did watch the miniseries, and I have to say, it was really good. Kinda light and quirky but also had some really darker, harder things in it like suicide and alcoholism and it was just overall really compelling, in my opinion. Plus her friends were awesome.

Can't wait for the show. Apparently the premiere is Oct 10 at 9:00 p.m., and subsequent episodes will be at 10:00 p.m. Wonder if the late time means it'll be a bit raunchier than the miniseries, too?
