New Thunderbolts Question

What exactly is Venom's role in the thunderbolts? I haven't really had a chance to buy any new comics in a while, I have alot of catching up to do. I was also wondering are the members of the thunderbolts still considered villains or are they now heroes?

his role, as with the rest of them, is to kick the crap out of unregistered heroes. He's still a villain but he's working towards a fat pay check and a pardon I believe

Venom's role is the same as the rest of the Thunderbolts, in the eyes of the public the Thunderbolts are "heroes", but there are only a few like Songbird, Swordsman, and Radioactive Man who are and have been truly trying to redeem themselves.
