I don’t even see the need for one. We’ve all seen the real thing in the documentary series, nothing Hollywood cooks up is going to enhance that.

Yeah. It was clearly an instance of piggy-backing off something trendy, which is hardly new, but I think Hollywood usually tries to dress it up a little more than just going “Oh, that was a documentary? Well, we’ll do the same story, but it’ll be scripted this time.”

And it’s usually fine for most subjects. But Tiger King was so outlandish and its participants so over the top that it felt like watching a work of fiction in and of itself.
