If we're thinking about the same person, I thankfully have them on ignore lolAlso, inb4 a certain poster pops in to tell us how he’s not going to watch this for obvious, totally not prejudiced reasons.
Wait, the creator of the Netflix She-Ra series did this? Ok, color me intrigued. That was a good show.Hey, I’ve read about this! Welcome back to the land of the living!
While I will give Disney at least some credit for some of the stuff they’ve made recently (I’m still shocked Turning Red came out like it did with the certain topics it dealt with intact; they would not have released that even just 5 years ago), it’s a still a ****ing shame that projects like this had to suffer because certain higher-ups didn’t want to piss off squeamish, traditionalist conservatives for not loving “dUh GaYs!!!” Hopefully they get to the point where they hire people in high positions who have the spine to really not be afraid to push the boundaries beyond their safe family friendly image. I’m not quite at the point where Sithborg is, but, with people like Chapek at the helm, I’m gradually getting there.
Anyways, glad to see this project still surviving. Nice to see Netflix becoming a hub for animated projects like this and Arcane that don’t fit into the typical mold. Animation is one of my favorite mediums for telling unique stories, so I’ll happily continue supporting outliers like this.
Still need to get back on She-Ra. Haven’t watched in a while due to a backlog of media I’ve been meaning to get around to. Liked what I’ve seen so far, though.

For the record, I never considered until recently the whole "lead character being gay" thing to be a factor as to why Disney canned it. Given Blue Sky's track record (only 2 of their movies at most were great: the original Ice Age and Peanuts, the latter because the Schultzes were breathing down their necks not to screw that up), I thought it was because like what happened with that 2007 story about John Lassiter and that Tinker Bell movie. The legend there goes is that that movie's lack of quality was what lead to Lassiter finally putting an end to Disney's notorious STV sequels trend. Given Chapek's recent shenanigans, one admittedly has to wonder if he's that bigoted. The sooner he gets the boot the better. Disney doesn't need a-holes like him.
And in case the guy quoted was referring to me, actually, I WILL give the movie a chance, if anything to see what the hell all this fuss is about. The main character being gay has never been an issue; hell, I like Luz from the Owl House and Katie from The Mitchells Vs The Machines. I've just always been eternally sus regarding Blue Sky movies from 2006 onwards.
Thanks. It's DarthSkywalker isn't it? That guy's always getting into arguments with me on happenstance.Naw, it wasn’t you. It’s some other member that pops up every so often to announce their anti-wokeness whenever something like this is announced.

I think it is important to note, that the gay romance didn't involve the titular character. Granted, with everything that has happened in ND (formerly Noelle) Stevenson's life, I think some other parrallels can be drawn with Nimona herself.
Netflix decides to give a nice little **** you to Chapek.
I loved She-ra, so I look forward to checking this out in a few years.
It was definitely a nice way to spend the last day of Pride month.Watched it. Wonderful movie, even if it is illegal to watch the movie in red states. I can see why Chapek would scrap it, even beyond just ****ing over Blue Sky.
