Nirvana is to Sublime as The Milky Way Galaxy is to San Marino.

As if! Sublime was way cool... Nirvana gave birth to emo music.

Can I have neither, please?
I'd rather have ear drums eaten by ladybugs than listen to them.

I hate voting for Nirvana, but I had to. I'd rather vote for Pearl Jam or Alice in Chains.

I polled my friends an found that like me they enjoy sublime more.

I picked these two because they are very similar in that both shot up did some great an different things an had lives cut short. Lots of parallels.

You should be banned from the hype for this post.
Now that's just a lie. Soundgarden is damn good in their own rights, I'd much rather listen to them than to Nirvana. I just like the west coast punk/ska groove that Sublime had going.

Are you like a half brained monkey or something? Is your thing to like hop into threads, post some nonsense then roll out?

I know the subtleties of some of my posts can escape those who are only capable of seeing the 'surfaces' of things, so I'll walk you through it. :)

See, though that post may have seemed like a confounding non-sequitir...in reality there was a very relevant subtext.

The implication was that the question posed in the thread is so preposterous, that surely it must be a joke, because Nirvana, though a short-lived band, were 50 quadrillion times more culturally significant, influential, fun, talented and Rocking than Sublime could ever even dream of being.

This is pretty much common knowledge, so again, the idea there was to extend a more playfully offerred opinion than to merely say, "I think Nirvana is better."

So I hope now you can see the layers of meaning in there and that this explanation was sufficient to help you to understand that my previous post couldn't really be classified as "nonsense".

Good luck deciphering the meanings of other posts and if you need help, I'm here Monday through Friday from about 8am to 3 or 5 pm. :)

If anything it would be the day I tried to live.
Nah, the best Soundgarden song is Spoonman.

Best Sublime song is 5446/Ball & Chain... or Date Rape.

Nirvana... I'm a big fan of Come As You Are

Oh I got it.

By complaining I got a more conventional answer. <w> <===bear trap

By the way I love your tie.

There would be no Sublime if it wasn't for Nirvana. The lead singer of Sublime even started his heroin addiction cause he wanted to be creative like Kurt.

Nirvana,definitely.
