I feel with Arrow, Flash and Legends these season long arcs don't usually work too well. I feel these arcs should be 1/2 a season. Thus preventing the dragging along that seems prevalent in the shows.

Arrow really doesn't have one this year. When the "real villian" doesn't appear until the 2nd half of the season, it's not season long.

I agree. The season long arc causes far too many "throwaway" spacer episodes. Seems like all the CW shows have the same plot: Big bad causes mayhem, team cannot defeat it until final episode when the McGuffin is found/discovered/etc.
I'd rather have shorter arcs through the season - maybe take a comic story and modify it to a 7 episode arc, followed by another...

This season didn't even have a season long arc and they still failed. It isnt that they ran out of ideas, they just suck at executing the ones they come up with. There are so many good storylines this season that have been written half assed.

Seems like they just recycled previously used storylines this year.

I have my doubts about Diaz, but Caden James...I mean, we went from Prometheus, who was a badass super-villain to some regular guy? He's dead now but now it's Diaz, and well I'm not convinced as of yet. I think it was a bad idea to kill Malcolm off. I liked him being a recurring character. He was like Lex Luthor was to Superman.

As they have already wrapped filming, I doubt we'll be seeing Deathstroke return before this season wraps.

I hope season 7 goes into a completely different direction altogether. Maybe Oliver should stop being Mayor.

I agree though, the season-long arcs aren't doing the show that much good. Notice how Gotham hasn't done season-long arcs. They usually do two story arcs per season.
