So, I finally decided to get off my ass and make a costume.

I still need: Scarf, gloves, Purple pinstripe pants, Suit Jacket, and Fedora Hat.

Here is just some shots of mask and jacket with a towel and Bowler derby substituting as scarf and fedora respectively.

I know, I look like snoopy.

Again, just another quick shot.

This one has to be my favorite.

Tell me what you guys think, and I'll get more pictures once it is completed.

That's actually pretty good. You're well on your way.

The mask needs a re-do.

What material did you use for it and how do you see through it?

I re-did the mask today.

The mask was simply an old Wife Beater cut up then painted.

The new mask is the almost opaque part of White women's stalkings with a white dominon mask (Think Buckethead) glued in it, the Ink splotches are actually India ink know and have a Butterfly looking pattern.

I'm also stitching together a scarf and buying an "Inspector Gadget" style coat from the Local Goodwill.

here is an update I have everything except the hat and the gloves:

The Mask doesn't have the ink on it yet so I shopped it on there.

You might want to layer the mask with two fabrics, to make it look like two different materials. Also, will your pants be purple?

I'm making a costume too, and I tried using actual ink. I ended up using a spray paint of black on a white t that I can manage to see through.

I am making a costume too, and I have decided upon a suggested (though not sure where) cheese cloth for the mask. Sure, that means I have to recreate the mask everytime, but I think the look will make it worth it. I will add the ink by giving a trusted friend a wide Sharpie to follow a design I made.

That's awesome that you can see out of yours. I just walked very slowly and told people it was part of my act.

most of these rorschach costumes are great except the jackets and fedoras tend to be way to bright

Half of those look like mexican wrestling masks, haha.

Comic Book Boy, you have the best looking Rorschach mask I've been able to find online. I'm looking to make a costume but the mask is proving more difficult than expected. What did you use?

The Rorschach mask was a thin white sheet stretched very tightly around my face and laced up in the back with shoestring. I picked a fabric that was easy enough to see through when stretched thin and colored in thick felt pen. It's important to color black over the spots your eyes will be because it makes it a bit easier to see.
I don't know what else to add. The material was from a crappy Halloween costume. You know that really cheap material used for most costumes? There was no sewing involved. Just poked holes in the back and laced it up like a shoe. I just wrapped it around the front and sides of my face. If I wasn't wearing the hat, you would be able to see my hair. I used clear nail polish to reinforce the holes I poked in for the laces.

This is mine:

I'm dying the trench coat a darker brown and getting a better hat.

I was doing a google search on "rorschach costume" and "rorschach mask" and this thread popped up, so I thought I would just add a few shots of mine on here too.
