Hey man, at least you have an IMAX where you live.

true...

Imax is stupid though, about 5years ago there was an imax near me and they tore it down... and now that imax is doing so well they're rebuilding one in the same spot, lol. fools.

I think its 152 minutes too, I know alot of us bat-fans would love us a good 3 hour epic of a movie, but the general movie goer dosent need to see something over 2 hours and a half, esp young teens who are going to be a major part of the audience for this film. 152 sounds good enough just as long as they dont rush things.

I was just thinking about how long this movie is actually gonna be.

I never wanted BB to end, but I knew it was on the long side. And it was awesome because of it.

But TDK isn't an origin story, and it's ten minutes longer than BB. It may be Joker doesn't even show up until an hour into the film. I definitely want a long movie but I'm gonna run out of candy and bladder space before the movie ends, no doubt.

^ I have nothing but Soda for a movie i really want to see.

I am with you. For the first time in a long time I saw it in the theater wishing that BB was longer. It kept me wanting more and the Joker card did not help either.

I'm pretty sure the opening scene has him in it. :word:

Tickets are popping up in some areas....I am in a suburb of Chicago, and I already have my tickets for the 12:01 am showing at Portage IN.

Have we all pretty much come to the conclusion that this 'controversy' than IGN cited about the running time is a bunch of crap? Most people seem to be thrilled about the running time; both, when it was cited as "comparable to Begins' running time" and now that it's listed at 152 minutes.
The controversy is nothing. It's just a few people complaining (including CHUD.com's Devin Faraci, the uber-hypercrite, who had no problem with HARRY POTTER AND THE GOBLET OF FIRE running at 157 minutes when he gushed about that film in his review).

Most of us are pleased as peach at the running time. And rightly so - it's appropriate to the story being told.

Even still, that may just be a setup and the next hour will reintroduce everybody plus Harvey Dent and [blackout]Scarecrow[/blackout], during which the Joker might show up again rallying support from mob bosses, but only after the hour or so is over will start putting his plan into action.

I'm just saying, even with Nolan's fantastic pacing ability, this may be a bit stretched. But I'm leaning toward the side that he somehow has enough content to fill those two+ hours.

i'm well pleased its gonna b a long one. i love long movies if they're done well and i'm confident that Nolan can pull it off.

You know what's funny about what I put in bold?

If someone were to call him on that, I'm willing to bet he would bring up the fact it needs the long running time since it's based on a novel...which would lead to the ultimate comeback.

Hmm...a movie based on one novel compared to a movie trying to draw from decades of material.:woot::oldrazz:

The dude just doesn't like Nolan's Batman, and I wish he would stop writing about it.

Ugh, I can't stand him. I stopped going to Chud.com 3 years ago because of that *****ebag.:o

You better have the IMAX tickets, big man.

Why doesn't he rike it??

I don't have the patience to read his stuff from 2005 to find out. I remember him praising the first fantastic four and dissing Batman Begins(Get the hell out of here!) I think he's talking about the fun aspect or something. Aka, garbage!

Faraci more than likely has his (negative) review of TDK written already. I woudn't listen to a word he says.

Seems like he's either a kid or has ADD. :o

I already know, even if it's 3 hours, I'll still be in the theater wanting more.
