Imax is stupid though, about 5years ago there was an imax near me and they tore it down... and now that imax is doing so well they're rebuilding one in the same spot,lol. fools.

The Miami IMAX that was torn down was owned and run by IMAX corporation. The new IMAX being built is a different theater company that is leasing IMAX projection equipment. The majority of IMAX theatres in the world are not owned or operated by IMAX.

Whoa whoa whoa! No one said ANYTHING about an extra three seconds.

Those three seconds will make the movie far too long. I say The Dark Knight opens at $10 million, and ends with $21 million after all is said and done. That extra three seconds will be a box office killer!

That may be one of the downsides to running time.Kids will get uneasy after a while and you'll find more people getting up in the middle of the film for a bathroom break.

I was thinking....with TDK expected to be a big hit that the running time might be a good thing in the long run for the box office because most theaters here charge extra money (1 euro - 1,50) for movies that are longer than 140 minutes.
