So Peter Moore is going to EA to head up EA Sports, while a guy from EA comes over to head up Microsoft?

Now we can look forward to Halo '08: New Textures Edition and John Madden's Fable, where the final boss is... Terrell Owens. :(

Personally, I liked Peter Moore. He had gaming-cred with his Dreamcast history, and his british swagger gave everything he said a little 'kick'. I guess he's going back to his sports roots from his time at Reebok to head up EA Sports... where he's probably making a lot less money anyway. :csad:

Oh well. Now we just need this EA guy to get a few tattoos.

woah!!!! EA ewwwww. and terrell owens would be sick as the final boss. but he'd ask for $50 million for a feature

Im looking forward new EA sports games in FPS MODE!!!

Hopefully J. Allard makes a comeback onto the Xbox scene. His Zune endeavor has stolen him from us for too long.

Well damn, I don't know what to think about that. Peter Moore was great and was pretty good at presenting, next to Reggie of course. I don't really know much about this new guy and how much influence does his position have? Will we be getting **** loads of in-game ads?

Hard to see the future is - cloudy is the dark side

Wow, i didn't think I could hate Peter Moore any more, but now he goes to EA Sports? I really hate him. He'll probably buy the NFL rights for another 20 years now...

this is a sad day in Xbox Land. but its prime time for J Allard to return. He has a great vision and Peter Moore was a great player for xbox. I wish him the best on his new endevour.

Hopefully the new guy at MS wont be horrible, and Moore will make some serious changes at EA (you know, like focusing on physics, etc in the next Madden instead of "same game with new rosters! lol!!!1!!!" like they usually do)...

J. got relocated just when things were getting interesting again! :csad:

Meh. Setting up the ex-president of EA as your President of Microsoft's Gaming Studios is a really bad idea. If most of.. well, any EA's games are your indication.. they seem to prefer the "quantity over quality" business plan. Meh.

Microsoft is actually loosing money on the X-Box 360.Its being surpassed by the Wii.

How are you quantifying that claim? In terms of total units sold, in terms of developer support, in terms of game sales generation, games in development or attach rate?

In all cases, you're wrong. The Wii is catching up to the Xbox360's install base, and the Wii can be sold at a profit. That is it. Microsoft is planning on making their money back on first-party game sales and game royalties (the Xbox360 already has over 15 million-plus selling games and the highest attach rate of any system at this period in it's lifetime.

As a businessman, the Wii is surpassing the 360, in the same way the Gamecube surpassed the PS2. As an actual gamer, the Wii is not surpassing the 360.

Thankfully Shane Kim and Ken Lobb are in charge of that end of the business, and they're both doing great jobs. I remember when Ed Fries (Halo, Rare purchase greenlights) left I thought the Xbox was done for, but Shane Kim initiated Mass Effect, Too Human, Alan Wake... pretty much everything we're hyped for now coming out of North America.

I'm not expecting as much out of this EA guy, though as a business, EA's obviously doing pretty well.

Can you imagine if Peter Moore is somehow able to get the EA Sports games to be XBOX360-exclusive??

I mean I don't even think I can entertain the idea, but...entertain that idea for a sec.... ;)

Headlines read: "PS3 sales literally halt as all EA Sports titles become exclusive to the Xbox 360 platform"

He's the reason Madden runs at 60 fps on the Xbox360 but only 30 fps on the PS3.

Peter Moore's going to make it run at 10fps for your insolence!!!

Great, now people really will be expecting Agents for XBOX to be able to Contact EA Sports for Problem Games. It was bad enough before when we had no affiliations, NOW WATCH THAT CALL Que!

I don't think anyone that stupid would even know who Peter Moore is. Xbox Customer Support: as safe as ever.
