This is a pretty lame move, but its not like theres any big name actors in the film, Jane was and is still a bigger name than anyone in this film.

well, he is now. Before the Punisher came along he was costarring in cameron diaz' horrible chick flicks. The business of this movie will suffer because of the lack of talk show rounds.

But that was promoting a movie that was portraying a more "heroic" Frank Castle.

Well, nothing personal, but that doesn't make a whole lot of sense. A movie is a movie, and whatever the lead character does shouldn't diminish the actors'/producers' efforts to get the word out.
