I just posted about this on their blog and figured it would be a neat conversation here. We may have talked about it in one of the cameo threads of past, I'm not sure.

Sony has a great chance to mix the Marvel Movie Universe with any addition of Spidey into Ghost Rider, and it's going to be interesting to see if they take that opportunity. They could add anything; news report on a tv, newspaper article, a passing mention, a joke from Blaze, anything.

Free promotion for Spidey and a theatre full for geekazims to boot!

:ghost: :spidey:

I think maybe a newpaper but thats really it. Something small that fans will notice but otheres won't.

Yeah, that would be enough. Something like the Dr. Strange mention in Spidey 2

Has anyone commented on the fact if Deathshead2 and FlameHead post one after the other, watching their avatars is like watching a scene in the film. No doubt those two shots will follow each other in the finished movie.
I'm totally against the idea of spiderman actually appearing in this film but a small mention of him or something only fans will pick up on is not a bad idea.

LoL. That's awesome. I never noticed that about the avvy's before.... though I'm pretty sure it's from the same scene in the trailer, yeah. Funny.

Yeah, I don't really want Spidey in it (though would love to see a Spidey/Ghost Rider movie later) but someting to unite the movie's would be sweet.

I love the idea of cameo crossovers. I was hoping that there would have been a quick scene of Spidy leaping arosss the skyline at the end of Daredevil, but it didn't happen. :( I'd be happy to see on ehere, though. :)

couldnt have happened, different studios

btw, what Dr. Strange mention in Spider-Man 2? cause a different studio owns the rights to him too, dont they?

When J. Jonah was trying to think of names to call Doc Ock, one of the names suggested was Dr. Strange. It was great!

I think he should be on the front page of a paper in a backround or something.

A team up to help fight Venom in another movie or something would be awesome.

Yeah, I agree.

I dont think a Spider-Man/GR cross over would really work...GR is a much darker character. While it worked in the comics a few times before, they were mostly during Spider-Mans dark periods, which they seem to be getting out of the way in SM3...Also, they've set up a much more science fiction universe in the spider-man movies, as opposed to the supernatural one in Ghost Rider, which I dont think would mesh.

Yeah I know. But it still would have been cool. :)

I can actually see Pete in the stands taking pics of the stunts, and later having JJJ write up a bad review and Blaze getting ticked.

maybe blaze sees a copy of the bugle with a picture of ghost rider on it and a photocred to P.Parker.

An easy way to have done it is, to have a scene at the gate to the stunt. As the people are showing there tickects to get in, have Peter Paker show his press pass, and have MJ with him. Give him one line like..." I want to be a serouse photographer, but all Jonna gives me lately is fluff like this Blaze stunt."

Something like Johnny reading a paper with an article about Spiderman or cracking a joke about him is alli see but god would a crossover be cool especially now Venom is in the mix :D

Wouldn't mind seeing a newspaper with the heading "Webslinger Terrorizes Big Apple!" That's what I'd like to see.

I also agree with the subtle "in-joke" cameo. Nothing too obvious though. If it's really obvious then the average filmgoer will think GR is trying to cash in on the success of Spider-Man, and that kind of opinion will cheapen the movie for them, I think. I'd just love to see a quality Ghost Rider film that can carry itself on the merit of its own substance... if that makes sense.

Maybe Parker's street clothes could be webbed to the side of a building. (just a quick shot).

A nice nitpick of anything Spidey would be nice.
Something along the lines or smaller like in Superman Returns when it was mentioned that Superman went to Gotham.

I like the idea of a ghost rider headline on the bugle. It would be a nice play to spiderman, but subtle.

forget that, i just want to see a spin-off movie of Ghost rider vs Venom.

Welcome to the hype Time-Fish! I hope you come back and post again (and again).

As for GR vs Venom, as much as I'd like to see it happen too, It's highly unlikely. It certainly would be awesome to do the Spirits of Venom Arc at some point though but, I guess they'd have to introduce Dan and all that jazz first.

I'd personally rather a Hobgoblin vs Ghost Rider though... if they were ever to go with a Spidey villian crossover.

There's a lot of really neat ideas in here to get Spidey in GR folks. It would be awesome if it happens.

thanks for the welcome Flamehead. :ghost:

it should be a no-brainer. if producers can make money with Freddy vs Jason and Alien Vs Predator then why wouldent they do this. to be honist when i found out Venom was gonna be in spider-man 3 i figued there would be a spin off film as Spider-man was only gonna be a trilorgy, so why not crossover the two anti-hero movies?

as for Dan, i doubt Nick Cage will be coming back for the next film so i guess they will bring Danny in as the new ghost rider.

also talking about crossovers. dose anyone remember when the Fantastic Four was been made there was some hu-har about a scene where Dr Doom met williem Striker from X2. what happend to that scene. i remember hearing they filmed it and everything.
