Also, while understanding of the circumstances, I'm still waiting for Tales From the Crypt.

Really don't know why NO streaming service has Tales from the Crypt. The movies on occasion, sure, but not the main show. Fortunately, Youtube has all of them.

I truly don't understand what is happening with HBO Max, can't they just can a bunch of Discovery shows to save money? I find the whole thing frustrating because this is easily my favorite streaming platform and they're gutting it.

Zaslav thinks it's more lucrative to license out WB's shows to other streamers. That's pretty much it. The new WB-Discovery streaming service will be mostly Discovery content.

The Discovery shows are probably really cheap to make compared to HBO shows. Reality TV in general is cheap that’s why it’s so popular with these networks.

This is the most devastating move yet. TCM has been so vital to the preservation and commemoration of so many classic films. And its library was one of the greatest things about HBOMax. For pretty much every other streamer, if it's older than 2000, it doesn't exist. Lot of movies are going to be digitally lost if Zaslav cans it.

So, is anything being *added* to HBO Max, and if not. . . with all this stuff being removed, why even bother keeping HBO Max operating? Its like they want to cancel the service without actually cancelling it.

From what it looks like, Zaslav is effectively killing HBOMax. He doesn't want to produce original content and he's disintegrating the original content it already had. It's essentially reverting back to what HBOGO was - purely a streaming service for HBO movies and shows - only he expects people to pay more for less.

From what I recall, the rights for Tales of the Crypt are SUPER complicated, and that's both why it isn't streaming and why all the attempts at reboots have stalled.
