I think most of the streaming services are named fine, but Peacock totally put me off before I even considered it.MaX is just a weird name. Its as weird sounding as Peacock.
Do you have a Peacock? No I have a MaX. Do you have MaX?
What a MaX? Whats on MaX?
Its literally a name of a person, can be a title of a mature film or can be misinterpreted as a Mask.
Just call it WB+ and call it a day.
I have absolutely no problem w this and don't see it being much of a problem
its not like they're gonna stop making HBO shows now
Ha!Wizarding World: House of the Hupplepuff
Wizarding World: Wands of Power
Wizarding World: The Marauders
Wizarding World: Slytherin
Wizarding World: Ravenclaw
Wizarding World: Potions
Wizarding World: LeStrange New World
Just JK Rowling so she can pretend she was diverse and inclusive the whole time. Was anyone asking for a Harry Potter reboot?
The HBO part is what suggested quality to me. The crappy Zaslav Discovery part is not of much interest to me. Changing the name just dilutes my impression of quality of the overall product.Peacock is a stupid name for a streaming service, let's be real.I only have it to watch Premier league.
My worry with Max is that they're going to eventually push all of HBO content away in lieu of their crappy Discovery+ shows. That is why for me, kicking HBO out of the title was a big deal. HBO is the only reason I would ever have a max subscription
That sounds much better to me.Apparently Universal+ is Peacock's name in Africa.
Same. HP meant the world to me as a teen/young adult. I prefer to just keep those fine memories, and not support anything Rowling does from now on.Those Harry Potter movies defined my generation. I have zero interest in this. ZERO.
As opposed to just calling something Max with no reference to any of it's actual content?Nah, Peacock is probably the worst name any streamer could come up with…especially if you’re trying to target a broad audience.
Those original Potter films are so iconic and beloved that a reboot is almost unfathomable to me.
Funnily enough they still used the John Williams theme in that little teaser. My point proven lol.
