For those of you that live there, do you think tourists are wasting their time? And for those of you who don't live there, yet visit, or have visited...do you think, or did you think, it wasn't worth it?

Hell yeah it was worth it. NYC is one of my favorite cities. There's never a dull moment when you're there.

I loved NYc and it is my favourite city having lived there, in LA, Paris, London, Geneva and even Washington, DC for a bit.

Born in NYC, try to get in there as much as I can.

I love NYC.

No way is it overrated!

Oh man. I live in London...and I want to move to NY eventually.

The architecture is the best in the world!

Art Deco...rules! :woot:

NYC is ok....

But Philly is still my heart.

I wanted to move there when I was younger, but I've been once, and decided to stay in the Chicago area. It's definitely an interesting place to chill, but the media basically uses it as the setpiece for every single movie, tv show, etc. That is the defenitive place to be as far as the U.S. on diversity alone, so you know.

Born and raised here, I love it, but it is surely becoming a place of 2 and only 2 kinds of families, you are either very well off, or very poor. The poor receive all kinds of benefits, which many of them take advantage of, and the well off are well, just well off. New York City is slowly pushing out the middle class.

^They're in the suburbs. In large cities, you got people that can't afford stuff, and the people that own the stuff you can't afford.

I guess i should define a NY'ers definiton of the city, to me and everyone I know, NYC is all five boroughs. Now if we are talking just about Manhattan, then noway is it overrated. The prices are way inflated, but as for a place to visit, there's no place in the world like it. No diss to any other cities, but we're not nicknamed the capitol of the world for nothing. Chicago is by far my second favorite city.

i hate crowds, so yes, it's overrated to me due to it's population.

That's actually how most people feel about LA and Miami. I've lived on both and have only visited New York. It's not overated, if there was a capital of the world, it should be New York.

You *****es talking about architecture, should move to Chicago..

NYC is overcrowded, dirty and the buildings look like matchsticks in a matchbox...

NYC is on par with other main cities around the world, so that is always the first target for good and evil.

well i think it never sleepings bs but everything else is true.
