The New York Time put out an article today about the future of superhero movies and how this summer could be a high point that may be the beginning of the decline to the genre. I usually like A.O. Scott but this struck me as mostly speculative wishful thinking on his part and completely misreads the ending of The Dark Knight which broke those very formulaic plot points he criticizes. Still worth a read.
