I know this game isn't new or anything, but I have some questions about (obviously) the combat. Is the sword play dynamic, does blocking work well enough to actually use it, and what's the number of spells in the game? I plan on getting it as one of my first PS3 titles, so it can hold me for several months.

Get Ninja Gaiden Sigma and Virtua Fighter 5 instead. That'll be more than enough to tide you over until MGS4 or one of the other high-profile PS3 games are out. Plus they are better games than Oblivion to boot.

Oh and the PS3 sucks ass.:o

Did you edit in "Oh and the PS3 sucks ass"? Just wondering if you did go the extra mile. :p

You seriously didn't think I was going to hold back THAT old jab now did ya? :ninja:

Wow, you both turned my thread to **** in only four posts!!! For that I dispense props. Now can anyone tell me about the game I actually wanted to hear about?

Yea bro i got you.

First off Oblivion will last you longer than either game that Fenrir mentioned and itll give you a better experience.

The combat its pretty fun, simple but fun. You have a basic slash attack and a strong slash attack but as you level up you can unlock diff attacks. Blocking is good, i mean you hold down a button and you block. Depending on your level and the enemies skill will determine how successful your block is. As for the number of spells, theres alot, i dont know the total number. The combat isnt the games strong point tho, everything else is. Its a fantastic game and if you at all like open ended, story driven games that'll last you over 200 hours(thats w/o the extra stuff) then go get that game. I'm not a big RPG fan and i love it.

Negative. If you have a buddy or two to butt heads with, then VF5 alone will last you almost indefinitely. And there's really nothing better than a heated competitive chop socky with a human opponent. Just wait until I smack all your collective asses on Live in October. Just you wait. :hyper:

Fenrir, you'll never agree to a game being better in any respect when compared to Ninja Gaiden. And, theoretically, you can play any multiplayer game forever, come on now. Just for you, that will be one of my top ten games. It'll be behind MGS4, KZ2, Motorstorm, Resistance, Oblivion, Heavenly Sword, NBA 2K7, MuA, and Assassin's Creed.

Your ass is mine, Fenrir :cmad:

(not in the sexual way  )

Your post is wrong on so many levels. If you were my friend. I would kick your a**, & take away your title as a "gamer".

OK we might as well end my crap right now before lil' ol Spidey17 throws a tantrum about us derailing his thread.

We really should bring back the gamer chat thread for spamtastic purposes.

Guy, if good FPS combat in a fantasy oriented setting is what you're looking for, you should check out this thread.

SECOND tantrum, thank you very much. I will have my revenge when you make a NG2 thread. I'lll constantly tell people to play Kameo or PDZ instead. Your day of reckoning will come!!!

You can have it be third person, but apparently it was just half-assed. Fallout 3 looks like the ****!!!
