Is it just me, or is Kurylenko (however you spell her name) really terrible in this?

this movie looks f... amazing. they should create a new oscar. the best looking movie of the year. Oblivion wins. i am shocked how good it looked on the big screen.

the story and script? Kosinski needs an intervention. this is now his second movie . the movie has problems with pacing and its way to slow. some parts are way to confusing for such a simple story. i repeat for a movie that simple its very confusing. bad take, bad editing? i dont know.

Cruise,Freeman and Riseborough are good. i didnt have a problem Kurlyenko. i can not belive her name was Julia Rusakova. Rusakova? please.

p.s.: the pool scene. OMG Andrea Riseborough

I thought this was pretty great. I agree though about Kosiniski but this is his second movie, he's still learning. I bet he learned quite a bit while making this especially with Cruise on set every day.

the biggest tron Legacy mistakes are IMO in Oblivion.

the soundtrack is good. very good. but sometimes it didnt fit with the scenes.

ohhh Freeman and Cruise have a good line in the third act. 100% cliche but IMO it works very good. :woot:

I'm really looking forward to seeing this one,but I didn't like Tron Legacy one bit. I found it pretty boring, even with the amazing visuals and soundtrack. Perhaps I should just give it another chance.

I really wanna go Oblivion today, but cant find anyone who wants to go with me. Most people dont know about this movie. We've only had one TV spot here, and it's been airing for a week only. Haven't seen a trailer in the theater, or a poster.

As much as I want this one to succed, I think it will underperform in the BO pretty bad :csad:

I agree, they're all still very present. I still recommend this to everyone just for the sex your eyes will be having

Hello everybody
I'm from Brazil and I just watch the movie now.
but I would like to know the name of the song that plays when Jack and Julia are in the cabin after he save her from the gunshot wound.
Someone could tell me?

Greetings from Brazil.

8 hours till I see this on IMAX. I'm feeling giddy about this one :)

Saw this on IMAX yesterday. The plot may be flimsy, nothing really special about the performances and yes, it's pretty much a 'Greatest Hits of Sci-Fi Club Remix' so you won't see anything here that will truly challenge or surprise you in any way.

What it is, though, is a pure and unapologetic audio-visual delight and that is precisely why you should just go watch it on the best screen that you can find (which is, of course, IMAX). Despite the fact that there is little else the film has to offer, the spectacle alone is such a marvel that it is worth the price of admission. A solid 7/10 from me.

By the way, I think it is worth mentioning that the film reminded me of the first Mass Effect more than any other sci-fi property - the entire score and the feel of exploring a desolate planet was like one big deja vu for me.

Did this come out early in some places or something?

yes. US and Japan get it last on april 19 and may 31

They had to. IM3 gets released internationally a week earlier in many places. Need to earn some money before it gets bulldozed.

I just saw it. No regret. Good movie, very sober.
I liked the nod to SAL and HAL 9000.

Way too many plotholes in the movie for my overall enjoyment, leaving the antagonist's origin a mystery is both good and bad, it just leaves too many questions for better or worse.

I guess it has been discussed here before, but this movie is a huge dissapointment. Its plot is basically the same of another very recent sci-fi movie, they just added a couple of changes, more fx, more money and action, and Tom Cruise, but overall it's just the same movie.

I know that previous movie had elements of many others and many of its ideas had been used a billion times before, but it was a decent/good movie that has been blatantly ripped-off too soon to be just a coincidence.

I've read that the the director/writer claims to have written this movie around 2005, but I don't buy it, it's too similar to that other movie. Maybe he wrote a movie about an alien invasion in 2005, but several key points on the plot have blatantly been copied from this:

So, if I havent seen that other movie, will my experience be better? Really looking forward to seeing this one, but so far the reactions haven't been what i was expecting.

I'll see it anyways, it just looks beautiful.
