^ Indeed. And seems like this is NOT in 3d. Just IMAX. Double awesome!

/waits for someone to come into the thread and declare it to be a blatant rip-off the poster for The Dark Knight

heh, I hope not.

this is in no way not even close to similar to a Dark knight or Inception poster. lighting and composition.

a fantastic poster.

a very good poster. Best one Ive seen for a blockbuster in a long time. I cant remember but I think the best one Ive seen all year

Oh my stars and garters! That poster is incredible! :wow:

First Pacific Rim, then Star Trek, and now this. And Man of Steel hasn't even gotten started on its marketing campaign!

If I experience any more awesomeness, I think my head will explode.

Awesome poster, though I'm not sure I understand it. Skyscrapers were built into the sides of mountains? Or the mountains rose up around the skyscrapers?

Comfortably the best poster this year IMO, just stunning! I love the little futuristic helicopter, like a sci fi Little Nelly! :D

Wow, what a beautiful poster. More movies need these types of ambitious posters.

Joseph Kosinski is going to rock this.

I wish the trailer came out now. lol

Can we talk about that ship design? It is awesome!

Now watch, if this trailer blows people away we'll start coming back with, "Kosinski for Star Wars and other favorite franchises!" when only a couple weeks back they were saying he wasn't experienced enough and that Tron sucked.

LOL, probably. I still really liked Tron: Legacy though. It had flaws, but I still thought it was an awesome movie. The lightcycle battle is one of the most visually amazing things I've ever seen in a movie.

I don't really care about posters nor analyze them like many here ( which can be an interesting read ) anyway, this one is still about a huge background ( a city, building etc ) with one man standing back to the viewer and with a gun.

It reminds me of the Argonath for some reason, the two skycrappers probably...

The little ship design is nice.

Has there been any more news on the story and the characters? I'm especially interested in finding out who Jaime Lannister is playing.

colour me disapointing that Poster looks nothing like the Dark Knight posters :oldrazz: they better have that horn noise playing during the trailer :p

^ Instead we'll be hearing some nice little M83 score, I hope. ;-)

Tom Cruise's character: I remember what this planet used to be like....and I can't let that go.

*BWOOOONNNNNNG*

Man just how many films has Tom cruise got coming out next yr ?

I know right?
