This movie looks fun. The visuals are just beautiful. Cruise is great and he knows how to pick good movies to star in, I would have loved to see At the Mountains of Madness as well.
Basically Earth was attacked and now these guys were the ones left behind after all the **** went down. Question is, are they humans or something else, and what isn't Olga's character telling Cruise.
The aliens won the war and retreated to the cities above the clouds, where they brainwash clones of the original Commander Jack Harper to repair the drones that eliminate the "Scavs" -- Actually the Human Resistance led by Malcolm Beach.
Julia is the wife of the original Jack Harper who comes to the wastelands to help the Resistance after learning that the government that coordinates their efforts is actually run by the invaders.
Whoa, HD version is stunning! Love the dominating white and grey colors of the film. It's really intriguing visually.
Still not all sold on the actual content of the movie though. There is just no particular action, dialogue or event in the trailer that really catches my attention.
Kane, could you make a .gif of that ship at 2:01? Such an awesome shot.
The cinematography and design aesthetic for this film is just breathtaking. It really feels like a "sci-fi" film.
It actually looks... pretty good. The cinematography and art direction is especially note-worthy.
Looks like a home run for Universal, especially with that mid-April date. I can see this making a lot of money with a big enough opening and decent legs.
