This is a continuation thread, the old thread is [split]351525[/split]
For the action, maybe. Everything else could have yielded far better results through animatronics, makeup, and cg enhancement. The only Lantern warranting a full CG creation is Killowog, for obvious reasons. The female members could all have been live action...everyone else would have needed to be fully CG, except maybe Tomar-Re.
the robot guy could have been realized ala iron man.
Actually, Animatronics and make-up are much more expensive than CGI.
Do you realise how much of the Iron Man armours is CG? Most of the time Downey only wore the helmet, chest piece and sleeves. Of course in post all of the aliens would've been CG'd over as they're trying to make the uniforms look like constructs, and rendering green and black scales for Tomar-Re or whomever was easier. The animation looks fantastic and I won't argue that they should use potentially jarring animatronics.
I wonder if an actress in make-up is portraying Boodika though, like Sinestro.
No.I wonder if the origin of the Green Lantern power rings will be explained. Doe's anyone know if it was explained at all in one of the old scripts?
Temuera mentioned they wanted him back for the sequel to explain more backstory for Abin. So they might delve deeper into that as the films progress too.I wonder if the origin of the Green Lantern power rings will be explained. Doe's anyone know if it was explained at all in one of the old scripts?
Mmmmm, no.Actually, Animatronics and make-up are much more expensive than CGI.
I find Kilowog is the worst looking one, really. Maybe it's because I'm looking at the over-painted posters, but his face just looks like a bad render. For the action, maybe. Yes. It is cheaper to create a character in a computer than spend money on Animatronics, make-up and then do CGI enhancements.
Over painted?
I gotta say... the discussions here are becoming ridiculous.
No matter what, seems like some are just looking through a microscope on everything just to find something to complain about. Just to talk bad things. Everyday come up with something new to try to depreciate Martin Campbell & team.
Oh, well...
