I just had a horrible thought... I wear glasses, what if that interferes with the 3D? I hope not. Glad to hear the displays are already out though... I'll probably head out and see if we have it here in the next day or so.

Cause I just don't need one right now. I don't need to rush out and get one, if I'm not going to actually play it. I'll buy one when some games come out that I want to play. There's no use in buying something, and having it sit around.

I played 3DS earlier... it was pretty awesome. The 3D effect is great, I found I like it best about halfway. I played Pilotwings and it really makes you feel like you're up in the air... using the slider pad is really nice, and you can move the camera around with the d-pad. I really can't wait to play some Mario and Zelda on this

Well, I finally got my hands on a 3DS, and I gotta say, I'm MUCH more excited about it now. I really didn't think I was going to be blown away by it, but let me say, I totally was. After I played it, I pre-ordered it, and I'll be getting it day-one.

Yeah, black one for me too. Although a while back Miyamoto said they've got something special planned for Zelda's 25th anniversary this year, so I'm hoping that might do an OoT bundle with a Zelda edition 3DS or something.

Thing with the 3D is you have to be looking at that **** head on, you can't really move the thing around constantly.

i preordered mine through Amazon, i really hope they deliver it in the same week as the release date, i don't wan to wait a week

Preordered my copy already. Oz release date is next Thursday.

And with this 25th Anniversary of Zelda I think it would be nice to see a revamp of Zelda and Zelda 2 just like what they did with Mario Allstars. Zelda 3 looks fine the way it is but a couple touchups I wouldn't mind seeing.

Pretty good deal from Wal-Mart regarding trading the DS for the 3DS.

This Sunday, the 3DS launches in the US and, to celebrate the occasion, US-based megastore Walmart is offering quite the deal for anyone who lives in one of a dozen states. When purchasing the new handheld, consumers in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Missouri, Mississippi, Oklahoma, North Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and South Carolina will have the option of trading in their used DS for a $100 credit towards their 3DS purchase. If they've got two old DS systems laying around, both can be traded in for $200 towards a 3DS, but that's as high as Walmart's willing to go.

The trade-in program will start this Sunday with the 3DS launch and continue through April 30. This promotion is in-store only -- sorry, no online orders.

Sorry. My old DS plays my nice library of GBA titles that the 3DS can't play. I refuse to give up my GBA games.

I don't know, it only says DS, so I assume all of them. If you're in one of those States, I'd give them a call and see what they say. Also, I read at another place you'll also need the adapter:

Ah, I see. I may do it, since it's kind of doubtfully I'll find it for that cheap for that much later on anyway. It does play DS games, right? I know it'd probably been said but I forget.

Well, okay, I just called a local Wal-Mart and found out the offer is a bit deceiving. It's actually up to $100. DSi XL gets the full $100, DSi gets $75, and the DS Lite gets $50. So, it's basically the same as the GS offer, except she also mentioned they would take the original DS model for $25, and GS' website doesn't mention anything about that one at all.

I never owned a DS system before, would it be a bad idea of buying both Zelda games that came on the DS for the 3ds?? Is there any chance that the games will be released for the 3DS but in 3D?

From what I heard, only GB, GBC and GBA games will be on the virtual console thing for 3DS.

No, it's not a bad idea. I highly doubt either Phantom Hourglass or Spirit Tracks are re-released in 3D.

Both are good, but if you're gonna pick up one, get Spirit Tracks. I find it to be a much better Zelda experience overall. Phantom was a good game, but it was extremely easy.
