While Nintendo may not put out the most powerful hardware, they're pretty damn good at putting out some of the most reliable.

That is really true. I still have the original Nintendo and it works just fine.

ye my snes works (with some blowing on the cartridges) as does my chunky ds, pretty sure my gba and colour are working fine aswell

Isn't that funny how you always have to blow on the cartridges? My Nintendo, my Super Nintendo and my old gameboy always required that and now my kids blow into all of our electronics when they aren't working... lol

whats even funnier is how every kid back then knew how to do it without the internet or anything telling us to do so.... would kids today figure it out without google?

lol! I know! Probably not! My kids go to google the second they don't know what to do. While that is a good resource, we always figured out that stuff on our own!

Nintendo has announced that the Game Gear and TurboGrafx (which had a portable version with the TurboExpress) will be arriving on the 3DS' Virtual Console service along with Game Boy and Game Boy Color games.

Yeah... though I would never use it for that. Unless maybe somewhere in the future Netflix will support 3D movies.

Well, it looks like I'll be buying the 3DS. After seeing the Mario news, and looking at the new pics, I'll be getting one after a few months of the release.

Well, it looks like I'll be buying the 3DS. After seeing the Mario news, and looking at the new pics, I'll be getting one after a few months of the release.

I wonder when the new Mario will come out?

They'll probably say at E3, hopefully later on in the summer.

Ocarina of Time 3DS was announced for June, so that's when I'll be getting mine.

Best Buy had a 3DS on display. First, I LOVE the analog stick. Imagine pitting a nickle in a flat slot the size of a quarter and sliding it around. Very comfortable.

However, I couldn't see the 3D. I was centered on the screen but just couldn't see it. Probably due to my vision (I have an astigmatism). I'll be waiting for the price to go down.

Played the Pilotwings demo at Best Buy the other day. The 3D without glasses claim is true to its word, I will admit this. You can turn it on and off at will with the slider, but it basically is in 3D, just like it would look with the glasses.

Yeah, at least one editor at IGN has that issue as well, the 3D just doesn't work because of eye conditions.

I just had a horrible thought... I wear glasses, what if that interferes with the 3D? I hope not. Glad to hear the displays are already out though... I'll probably head out and see if we have it here in the next day or so.
