The system will sell...heck the japanese preorder lines are already wrapping around buildings.

I'm hoping to be able to afford to grab one at launch, but we'll see.

Star Fox 64 3D + New Paper Mario + Mega Man Legends 3 + New Mario Kart = a must have system for me. :D
 
Black or Blue?

i preordred both because I can't decide which color I want. This will be my first Nintendo DS system

You mean White.

I think most will get White since it has the black legendary.
 
I'm a bit behind on all the news, but yesterday a buddy of mine told me no first party games besides PilotWings at launch? Zelda isn't even in the 'launch window'.

Gotta say I'm pretty disappointed in that... I have no real reason to get 3DS at launch now. I'll probably end up waiting until Mario Kart is out at least.
 
Nintendo hasn't said what will make launch yet...but the sure bets for the launch window are Pilotwings, Nintendogs + Cats, Zelda PoT, and Steel Diver.
 
i'm going to get pilot wings. i have fond memories of the one on the 64.
 
Another Mario Kart bundle would kick ass... I got my first DS when it was bundled with MK.

I've decided to hold off. I was honestly ok with the actual system price but in no way do I want to pay 40-50 dollars for the games. I don't care if they're 3D or not... they're still hand held games.
 
I need to see the official US launch list before I decide. I might wait until this fall, until the library of games I want is much bigger.
 
i know Amazon does free shipping for products over 25 dollars, what other sites are there that offer free shipping so i can preorder the 3ds?

The 3DS's "Activity Log" uses the built-in pedometer to track your steps, awarding players "Play Coins" for certain distances. Those Play Coins can then be used for unspecified unlocks within supported games. According to Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime, this was included for two related reasons.

First, he told MTV Multiplayer, "Nintendo has always been at the forefront of active gaming." He cited the Pokewalker, Personal Trainer: Walking, and, of course, that whole Wii thing. Second, "it's just another reason to encourage people to get up and walk around. Why? Because we want them to be carrying their Nintendo 3DS, going through StreetPass, SpotPass types of activity."

Apple managed to get people to carry their iPhones around everywhere by making the iPhone a phone -- one of the major advantages enjoyed by that platform. Nintendo has chosen to basically bribe users with virtual coins in order to get people into the habit of making the 3DS part of their everyday equipment.

got to play pro evo, street fighter, res evil mercenaries, pilot wings, zelda and lego star wars today....

WOW!! it is great, the device itself look great in person, and feels great in your hands and the 3d is great! best 3d was on street fighter and pro evo imo, with lego star wars having surprisingly good 3d too. Pilot wings felt abit different to the others but was also pretty fun, the 3d trailers for starfox and mario kart looked incredible and would both be must haves imo


wish i could afford to buy one!
