Nintendo releases games and hardware on Sundays. I think they released the 3DS on a Sunday, if I remember correctly?

Ahh, ok. I had to double check the date and calendar cause most games are released on Tuesdays...didn't know that about Nintendo.

Downloaded Krirby's Adventure 3D. Classic Game with good use of 3D. I am pleased.

I hate the launch colors of the XL. I'm planning on buying it, but I think I'll hang on to my purple 3DS, simply because it's more portable for trips and such. The XL will be nice to have to play at home though.

Yeah, I'll probably end up getting one but I'm not getting rid of my current one. I wish NA was getting a silver one like the UK is getting. Classic DS Fat colors.

the blue and red just aren't very interesting. I thought about trading in my purple 3DS towards the XL, but I like it too damn much. I'll buy the XL eventually though.

Same. I think it's somewhere between $70-$80 right? Not worth it anyway.

I checked with BestBuy.com & their trade in price is $50.00. When I saw that, I went F-That!!

That's insulting. The Amazon trade in price is somewhere around $90 I think. Thats not worth it either. I can't believe how low trade in values are across the board.

Amazon will always, always have higher trade in values than EB/GameStop. They may have a better deal when its close to launch but still won't be worth it.

That's my thinking. I won't get enough from any retailer to justify trading in my purpled 3DS at this point. Best to just buy the 3DSXL outright if I want it.

Yeah, summer is a slow time for gaming so I'll probably just stow away some cash that I would normally spend on back titles or something. I'm in no real hurry.. the major improvement seems to be the screen... And that's about it.

The 3DS XL screen size is being increased by 90%, from 3.5" to 4.88", but according to reports the resolution is NOT being changed. Does this mean that the graphics will look worse on the XL model?

Nintendo has never changed the resolution of the screen. No, doesn't really make them look worse. DSLite XL looked fine.

I don't have much experience with Nintendo but it would seem that if take the same image and then stretch it, without increasing the resolution, that would make the image look more 'pixelated.' No?

I wonder how much larger they can make the 3DS before it is no longer considered a handheld, lol. *scratches head* So, why didn't they add a second analog nub again?
