Nirvana was definitely an influential band. But they only got popular because of the overall look and the fact that their music was different compared to the likes of Poison, Ratt, W.A.S.P., Motley Crue, Winger, and Cinderella.

I was always more into Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, and Soundgarden. I liked bands that had great musicianship, great songs, and could basically do it all with their music.

Only Nirvana songs I liked were their singles honestly. Lithium, Rape Me, Heart Shaped Box, and Smells Like Teen Spirit. I definitely feel they got more credit than they deserved honestly.

Well don't get me wrong, if Nirvana came on the radio I wouldn't change. If I'm working out at the gym and I hear a Nirvana song I'll continue working out. I can at least listen to them and understand their influence on music and popular culturee.

I just think they got too much credit and were wrongly praised over much greater and talented bands in my opinion.

I definitely feel they got more credit than they deserved honestly.

That's probably true, but one can't put the blame on them. They were placed on such a high pedestal from Nevermind on. The fact that Cobain died young and at a time when the band was still extremely popular, well, that just adds to the "legend" or "legacy" of Nirvana.

I still have their cd's and every once in awhile I will pop one in and still enjoy listening to them. I enjoy them for what they are but I wouldn't say they were the greatest band ever.

That dude is a clown. It’s a blatant cash grab. He has talked extensively about the album over the years. Suddenly it’s a problem? There is literally no sexualization in the photo whatsoever. Unbelievable. This will be thrown out for sure.
