We all know we're going to get the RROD, it's one of the few definites in this world. The nice thing is that it's covered for 3 years. What is not covered is a 1 red light error, which I will now have to pay 100 dollars to get fixed unless I somehow induce the RROD. Damn you E74!
:cmad: Microsoft!!! Right before Spring Break too.

Well, if you want an RROD you could always turn your 360 on and wrap it up in a couple of towels or just leave it on for several days straight.

The towel trick has the possibility of causing further damage then just the RROD.

never had the RROD. I feel lucky.

I got one red ring yesterday...I just waited a few minutes, turned it back on, and it was back to normal. This has happened multiple times.

What's the one ring error caused by?

All that MS's website says is that it's a hardware problem. I've found sites saying it's A/V related, either the wire or the chips inside, or related to overheating or to the HD. So I don't really know.

I seem to more consistently find people saying it's an A/V problem, and one of the "it's happening" warning signs is the visuals getting snowy. A site I just found says that overheating causes the issue with the video scaler chip.

You can get any number of error numbers with the 1 red light too. Mine was E74, which seems to be one of the more popular ones.

It'd be nice if they fix the RROD problem while they are in there, but I doubt they will. This box is taking forever to get here. :o

Heh, that's what I was thinking. Just continue the damage to your system til it shows 3 rings...it's theraputic and would save $100 heh.

Wrap it in a towel, while keeping it in a closed cabinet. It'll red ring before long.

I'm deathly afraid of the RROD. I got my Xbox 360 opening day, and hearing all the problems launch buyers have had, I just await the day it happens. I actually got a RROD once, but it was actually because the power cable wasn't completely plugged in.
